We need your help in raising funds for the repair of our dam before it's too late! We all remember the great time we had at the lake. We want everyone to have that opportunity and it not be just a memory of the past.
The lake has been enjoyed for generations and with your help it could be enjoyed for generations more! We want our kids, their kids, and the kids of many generations to come to be able to enjoy the beauty and splendor of our beloved Lake Cadjaw
The Lake Cadjaw Watershed Association would like to personally thank everyone that views our website throughout the year. As mentioned on this page, our lake dates back to the 1800's when it stored and supplied water that was used for the Delaware & Hudson Canal and later used as a water supply for the town of Honesdale. Now, the Department of Environmental Protection has mandated that the dam which harnesses the lake is in jeopardy of being breached if not reinforced and brought up to the DEP's current safety specifications. We continue to look for donations to help save the dam as the road ahead is a tough one. The latest quote to accomplish this task is estimated at upwards of $300,000. The number of visitors to our website grows every month (at least 1500 hits in any given month). With this number of interested viewers of the information contained on our website and the pictures of the lake and its wildlife, if each and every one of you would consider making a tax deductible donation to help with our efforts, this important part of Honesdale history could be restored. Large or small, every donation gets us one step closer to accomplishing this task.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and repair the dam to save our lake from being drained! Your generous donation will fund our mission and keep the lake available for future generations to enjoy.
